What began as a whisper has turned into a roar. The award-winning Gem range has been raising eyebrows worldwide because it sets a sky-high performance benchmark in mid-price fly rods. The multi-modulus carbon fiber technology has given the Gem some awesome characteristics. It has a strong tip action and superb dampening abilities that eliminate oscillation. The result for the angler is accurate long distance casting and unbelievably delicate presentation. All the Gem rods come with spigot joints that produce the smoothest power transmission obtainable.

Gem trout rods are finished in deep emerald green with matching tyings securing lined stripping guides, high-arched chrome snake rings and a hay-forked tip ring. Finest Portuguese cork handle with fixed extension butt on all models 96 and above. Nickel silver reel seat with Permali wood spacer for stylish and secure attachment of the reel. Each rod in the Gem Series comes with a cordura covered tube.

The key light line Gem rods are also available in a six-piece Gem Smuggler version. Gem smugglers provide the perfect option for the traveling angler.

The 15' Gem salmon and the 9' #6 both won top distance casting awards in the 2002 Norwegian Open Championships.

"HARDY'S" is the last word in fishing rods and tackle. Avoid the imitators who tell you the old, old story, they are "just as good as Hardy's." Your safeguard is to see that the name "House of Hardy" is stamped on all rods, reels, etc.
